Did you guys notice what Marceline’s two main crying scenes in the whole series were about?
1. Ice King forgetting her.
2. Ash selling Hambo, a toy Ice King gave her as a child.

You can tell that even though seeing him rips her apart, the Ice King probably means the most to Marceline. 

Let’s not forget when Marcy got tears in her eyes after fighting with PB. She turned her back before we could see the tears fall. Her sadness was starting to overpower her anger.
